Scumm Adventure games on Flash2advanceultra?

Adventure games on the GBA part 3

In the previous blog I introduced Scumm games. I think Scumm games are the most famous of the adventure games.
Now what would be really great is that you can run your old adventure games like Indiana Jones and the fate of atlantis, Sam and Max hit the road or even the great Monkey Island game on your GBA.

Unfortunately I am afraid to tell you that this can't be done. There is no Virtual Machine or interpreter for the Scumm engine. So can't Scumm games be played on the GBA?
The awnser is NO. There is one way to play an Scumm game on our lovely nintendo console.

What do you think of running the point and click adventure game Manic Mansion on the GBA? Yes that is possible :)
How to do it? well it's quite easy. Remember the NES version of Manic Mansion?
HEHE some guys may get it here.

First of all download PocketNes and a ROM builder at http://www.pocketnes.org/downloads.html (I used Thingy v1.1 by loopy) But you might try some other ROM builders too.

Secondly simple get the NES version of Manic Mansion which can be downloaded from various emu site's and build the ROM.

Wel how does it play? JUST GREAT, I really enjoyed playing adventure games when I was young and now I can relive the good old times agian.

Check out these great ingame screenshots ON THE GBA!!

Don't stop playing till you get enough!

Sierra Adventure games on GBA

Explore new worlds, SIERRA ADVENTURE GAMES ON THE GBA
Adventure games on the gba part2
Before the real good graphics acceleration carts came games used to be simple. The game play and the good story made a game good. So that is why adventure games were very popular back in the 90's. Besides the famous Scumm point and click games from Lucas Arts (Monkey Island Series, Indianana Jones series, the Dig and Full Throttle) there was another adventure games maker.

You might know which company I mean: Sierra Entertainment. Very famous games(Larry series, Roger Wilco lost in space, King Quest, Police Quest) were developed by Sierra. NOW here is the great news! There is a emulator/interpreter available for the GBA to run your old Siera adventure games again. The name of this GBA emulator is GBAGI.

People with a flash2advance ultra cart are one of the luckiest people around. With the use of a flash cart on your GBA, you can play all your AGI games on the portable! Not only can you play Sierra's adventure games, but also your own, and dozens of homebrew games made by other enthusiasts!

Just simple download the GBAGI + ROM Injection Utility (current version 2.0)
Everything you need to play the classic Sierra games on the GBA!

Games are easily to install, this utillity see picture above only ask your rom data from the original adventure game and then builds the rom in gba format with the interpreter!

Have fun guys!

Another World: Adventure games on Flash2AdvanceUltra

Adventure games on Flash2AdvanceUltra part1

AnotherWorld
Hi welcome to the first interesting blog at www.flash2advanceultra.cjb.net
There are a lot of GBA ports on the net but I think this one is best. Let me introduce
ANOTHER WORLD. Some of you might know the game, for other the game is completely new.
The game is a platform game and is very comparable with interplay's Heart of Darkness. I believe that it is developed by the same programmer.. Both games have the same gameplay too.

The port plays almost the same as the original on the pc. The port is done by http://www.foxysofts.com . Actually the port for the GBA is old news but I bet that a lot of people the game haven't heared of AnotherWorld yet..

The game features really smooth animations and has a great story. You might want to take a look at a few screen shots here:

The game might be a bit difficult in the begining but that makes the game so interesting.

The game it's current version is Another World GBA V2.1 FR/EN (28.04.2005)

Download the game from the author's website please.
Adventure gamers will love this game!
