The future of the F2A ultra support page

Dear Flash 2 Advance users,

It's has been a very, very long time since we wrote anything new on the site.
We just felt it is time to tell you about the future of our popular and the only support site left for the F2A series.
We're sure that it would be nice to hear what happened to this site.
Not more than a few months ago the original www.flash2advance.com and www.flash2advanceultra.com disappeared from the internet.
The original makers finally gave up on support after 2.5 years, actually they didn't provide us any support at all (except for a few updates which
you should be able to count on your both hands).
There are no new programs to be added to this site now that the Official Team has left the scene.
As for the programs and files currently on the site this website will purely stay here as a resource page for the various Boot loaders and Writers.
I think these links may come in handy for all you F2A users.

What can we tell about the forums?

Well, currently we have a paid forum. We should have thought twice choosing a forum (Since it's not free and data
according to the makers CAN'T be exported to another forum like PHPBB or VBulletin.) but this is not a thing we can change anymore.
Going to another Forum is not possible without having to start with an empty Forum.Of course we don't want to do that, that's why the old one is still here.

Is there another reason why this website is loosing it's popularity?

Yes, and it isn't really so difficult to comprehend.
Due to new great products coming on the market in the Linker segment and especially for the Nintendo DS, not many people will buy any hardware for a GBA (SP) console.
The GBA has had its most glorious time we think, as a DS owner we can simple emphasize that thought.
Still the F2A carts is one of the best flashcarts available in the GBA (SP) segment.Only we don't use the F2A carts that often anymore. (It's DS baby! :P)

Is this a goodbye??

Yes and no...
Actually we must tell that we don't exactly know the future of this website..
This site will stay here as a resource site for all you F2A users. Perhaps it would be possible to put the Forum back online as well. We asked for Donations in our Forums but so far nobody responded.
The reason that we asked for donations was also to test whether you think it is worth to have the Forum back online again.
So far not many people showed much of an interest so we decided to leave it this way. What do you want? Please leave your comment.

What we do know is that this site was a great experience for us.
Three years ago it wasn't that easy to set up a decent website (hey we were 15).Luckily, back then we had quite a lot experience in writing software in VB 6.0 and designing webpages in the old simple HTML and DHTML. A decent webpage for the F2AU support was born.

The tools we have today weren't freely available. Now it only takes some good knowledge and a "bright" person to learn or write just anything.moreover, the possibilities are endless!A lot of tools are now open-source, the technology is already there and moreover it is all free!

We are not going to leave the GBA/NDS scene! We will always be interested in new DS hardware and or DS homebrew. Sometimes we still write some feedback or software applications for other "Homebrew Fanatics" or help other people who are having F2AU problems.....

Yep, The Internet has become a wonderful medium. Nonetheless, we think it is time to move on, do other stuff but don't forget to look back to those wonderful times when having such a site as this one was kinda special for two young guys.

Thanks VanAuberjim for writing the F2A U manual,
Thanks www.flashlinker-shop.com and Linker4u
for providing the hardware in the past.
Thanks Cory1492 and Joojootje for their additional contributions!

and of course,

Thank YOU for using this site over the years!
